A high-performing suburban district with the desire to more fully engage and inspire a wider range of their students, engaged New Vista Design in a year-long professional development effort aimed at developing teachers’ project-based teaching and learning capacity and leadership.
The year-long training effort within Westford Public Schools included:
- Initial planning and coordination with WPS leadership
- Introductory and intermediate level PBL Workshops (see sample agendas)
- Co-creation of web-based PBL planning and assessment tools
- Review of curriculum development with WPS Academic Coordinator
